Motor vessel "Claudia Elanskaya" belongs to the "Murmansk Shipping Company"; one of the largest shipping company which carries out the major part of shipments under the Russian flag in the Russian Arctic. Motor Vessel Claudia Elanskaya is named after the former USSR popular actress Claudia Elanskaya of the Moscow Art Theatre. The ship serves as expedition ship for scientists and as supply ship for towns / villages in the hinterland of northern Russia. No other ship knows the Arctic waters better than motor vessel Claudia Elanskaya.

 

In July 2015 Motor vessel Claudia Elanskaya will sail from Murmansk via the archipelago of Franz Josef land, Novaya Zemlya and Solovetsky Islands to Arkhangelsk as part of our Arctic Expedition.

 

The accommodation on the expedition ship consists mostly of four-person cabins as known on the big ferries on the Baltic Sea nowadays.
On board  of MV "Claudia Elanskaja" there are 51 passenger cabins. All have a porthole, a wardrobe, a table, an arm-chair, a two-high bed, an air-conditioner, toilet and shower. The cabins are categorised as follows:

• Deluxe  double room – 2 pcs. (soft furniture, single beds, phone, TV set, fridge, a big porthole);

• Class 4 a cabin for 4 persons – 20 pcs.;

• Class 5 a cabin for 4 persons – 29 pcs.;

Common passengers lounges and services:

• Avia chair compartment with 24 seats;

• Restaurant;

• Open and close promenade deck;

• Musical saloon (TV set, stereo system, karaoke, microphone);

• Gym;

• Rooms for medical care (emergency medical care 24 hours)
